Recently I visited La Jolla, CA. I was walking down Girard Ave. and walked by a beautiful Catholic Church I had seen before. But this time I was beckoned inside. This photo shows the light beam that led me inside…notice it?
The name of the church is Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church. The address is 7669 Girard Ave., La Jolla, CA. 92037

I stopped at three of the stations where you light candles and offer your prayers. I love how the statue of Jesus is arms open, welcoming 🙂
….and how this writing behind Mother Mary holding Jesus has words in French and Spanish…
…And the loving gaze of Mary in the background, looking at her son, Jesus.
Even the statue of Jesus on the cross is different. Rather than the usual slumped over Jesus suffering on the cross, if you enlarge this photo, you’ll see a triumphant Jesus. Click on the photo if you want to enlarge it.
When I walked outside again I stepped onto the Star…..Mary, Star of the Sea….
Hope you enjoyed this little tour. I invite you to come see it yourself!
